METAL RAMPAGE OF A BAND OF OUTLAWS
The foundation stone of the Slovakian violence-blackmetal band LUNATIC GODS was laid down in 1993 and their debut program came a year later, followed by shows across Slovakia and Bohemia. A few years later, the band changed their name from Bestialit to the current LUNATIC GODS and released their debut album Inhuman and Insensible with an Italian production, becoming the first Slovakian band with external representation. This CD, which was excellently received by experts and fans, was sold out in a year and the band was given offers not only from clubs, but also festivals. Already then, the media showed interest in the band. The next years of the band were mostly in the name of live performances, however the band also kept busy with their writing, so by 2007, their fifth album was released, dedicated to the band’s deceased singer, replacing English with their native Slovakian language. This album was successfully received across the globe, receiving the award AUREL 2007. LUNATIC GODS continued giving concerts, and after several personnel changes, they stepped up their speed in their death and black metal music and enrich their live performances with a violin. The band’s most recent album was recorded in 2013 and its special edition in a leather wrapper will come out on 14/2/2014, and the record will also be christened that day at a charity concert supporting the fight against cancer, which LUNATIC GODS organize annually.
