That is a name for the pair of LEAVES' EYES's singers, alternating between the soft melodic singing of Liv Kristine and the death-metal growl of Alexander Krull. LEAVES' EYES are a band originating from Germany and Norway. It was founded in 2003 by experienced musicians, which had an impact on the band's quick growth in popularity. Their debut album emerged in 2004, inspired by nature and Nordic mythology. A year later, the second album, Vinland Saga, was released. Its single Elegy stood at the top of German music charts for four weeks. LEAVES' EYES also gave concerts, in 2009 they had already visited four continents, 34 countries and played over 200 shows. A notable performance was their participation at the Metal Female Voice Festival, where LEAVES' EYES gave an amazing show enhanced by effects, sceneries and props including Viking longships. They've also released their third album Njord in 2009. This album was praised by critics as a masterpiece, garnering success in musical charts. Many guests took part in its production, including Lingua Mortis Orchestra. The fourth album in order was Meredead, introducing elements of folk metal. The most recent album, Symphonies of the Night, came out in fall 2013. Symphonies of the Night tell stories of historical and mythological female characters with brave hearts, who had to face various life tragedies. There are both ballads and rich opuses, forming an unforgettable musical experience.
