THE DARKEST ALBUM IN THEIR CAREER
ATROCITY's new album OKKULT, which came out in 2013, is often dubbed the darkest work thus far in their nearly thirty-year career. The record OKKULT is the first piece of a planned trilogy, bringing brutal, bombastic and original music. ATROCITY promise an experience the metal world has yet to witness - tension, choirs and a mythical atmosphere combine with the purest wild metal. The album's themes include eerie places, conspiration theories and unexplained mysteries. It was made with traditional partners like Lingua Mortis Orchestra with Viktor Smolski, but also the Canadian musician Kattie Halliday, known for composing the score for the horror series SAW.
We believe that ATROCITY will please those of our visitors who long for a heavier style of metal. Through their career, the band has tried many genres of metal as well as remakes of pop songs, which shocked many a metalhead, but also brought them into music charts, leading to their appearance at the famous Wacken Open Air festival. Presently, the band has returned to their death-metal roots, arriving at MOM 2014 with a ferocious show.
